Now Accepting Enrollment for 2016 Training Course
Become a waste prevention ambassador in Jackson County! The annual Master Recycler training course includes an extensive training handbook, discussion-based classes, presentations from local and regional experts, and field trips to relevant sites, including the regional landfill, waste-to-energy plant, composting facility and waste water treatment plant.
You will learn waste diversion, recycling and composting strategies, what happens to garbage, plastic, electronics and hazardous waste after it leaves your hands, and how recycling markets, economics, laws and citizens affect what’s recyclable locally.
Share your time, knowledge and skills, build positive change and make connections with a wide variety of individuals, businesses and organizations with similar interests. Master Recyclers are required to give 30 service hours in 2016 to support and expand local waste diversion programs and projects
Weekly classes will take place on Tuesday evenings, March 8 – May 17, 5:30–8:00 pm at the Rogue Disposal Corporate Office in Medford. Save paper – enroll online here at the JCMR website.
